First Camping Trip

We survived our first camping trip in New Hampshire. It probably would have been smart to do our first camping trip near home to make sure it went smoothly but we decided rather last minute to camp so there was no time for a practice run. (we visited hubbys family) The energizer and the tank did great and slept through the night. Little dude took some extra work to get to sleep but once he did fall asleep he also stayed in bed. I'd say overall they did a wonderful job for their first trip. It's the beginning of many more camping trips.

a little more of vacation

Well as you can see we took a family vacation to the outer banks. We had a wonderful time, it was a much needed vacation. Mimi was able to come along with us which was a huge help! We missed pappy but he was getting some much needed work done on their house. The boys were amazingly well behaved the whole way down! We did leave at 3:30am though, it kinda backfired on us they stayed awake for a couple hours which I was hoping they would sleep. We rented a beach house in avon that was only a block away from the beach. It was nice not needing to load up the van to get to the beach. The energizer loved the ocean, the tank loved the sand and little dude loved chasing the seagulls :) We took a trip up to the kitty hawk area the one day it was about an hr drive where we went to the wright brothers stuff and went mini golfing. That evening right after dinner we were about to head back down to our beach house and the tank started screaming and crying. We thought for sure he just jammed the straw up his nose then I realized there was a stone wedged up in his nostril. So we zipped of to the ER to rescue that pebble! Of course we had to end the evening with some ice cream celebration of the rescued pebble and very well behaved kids in the ER. (one of the moments I was thankful mimi was along with us) I'd have to say I enjoyed driving fast to the ER maybe I should become an ambulance driver, haha. Anyway we spent pretty much all of our time at either the beach or the pool. We will definitely be taking more vacations down there.

Our trips to DW have begun. We went on opening weekend and had a great time, especially since there was hardly anyone there. Woohoo for no lines!!! It was little dudes first time riding rides, he did really good. The tank got on a few but wasn't into it as much as he was last year so I'm sure after a few visits he will warm up to it again. The energizer had a ton of fun and got to ride one of their new rides and of course didn't want to leave. So here's to another fun summer at DW.

something new for the energizer

Thanks to a vision screening at the preschool we discovered the energizer was in need of some glasses. He started out with a different pair but complained alot about them so we took him to find a different pair. He ended up choosing a pair that are blue and a little bit bigger, but he doesn't complain about them anymore!

He did end up losing them, which we knew was going to happen sooner or later. We tore apart the house only to find them outside in a tractor. The energizer did tell daddy that they were in a truck, guess we just overlooked that truck! :) The energizer is doing an excellent job with them and personally I think they make him look like a little doctor or scholar.
